Brigette Lundy-Paine, known for their role on the Netflix series Atypical, just came out as nonbinary.
Lundy-Paine, who came out as queer last year, made a heartfelt declaration on Instagram. “I’m nonbinary, always felt a lil bit boy, lil bit girl, lil bit neither,” they said. “Using they/them as of late n it feels right. scary af to come out n been rly putting this off. But I feel I owe it to myself and to all of us who struggle w gender.”

Lundy-Paine makes the announcement at a pivotal moment in their career. Later this year, they’ll appear in the drama Bombshell which is already generating awards buzz. Next year, they also have a role in the much anticipated comedy Bill & Ted Face the Music, the long-awaited third film in the Bill & Ted series.
Brigette Lundy-Paine also joins an increasing roster of celebrities who have come out as nonbinary, including Jonathan Van Ness, Theo Germaine, Sam Smith and Jacob Tobia.
